JOB SUMMARY:
The Phillies have two game day Clubhouse Operations opportunities available, one as a Home Clubhouse Attendant and another as a Visiting Clubhouse Attendant/Bat Boy.
The Home Clubhouse Attendant plays an essential support role, assisting in the organization and maintenance of the clubhouse, while helping to ensure the needs of players, coaches, and staff are met. The role includes responsibilities such as providing laundry services, managing inventory, running errands, and maintaining cleanliness and readiness in various team spaces.
In addition to the responsibilities above, the Visiting Clubhouse Attendant/Bat Boy will assist Visiting Clubhouse staff with pre-game preparation, serve the function of bat boy during home games, and perform assorted duties postgame.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Home Clubhouse Attendant:
- Provide organizational support to the home clubhouse staff as directed by management.
- Assist with laundering uniforms and additional equipment.
- Assist equipment manager with organization of clubhouse inventory.
- Stock and ensure the timely re-stocking of all necessary items in the clubhouse, dugout and bullpen.
- Maintain an open line of communication with all team members to ensure any clubhouse needs are addressed.
- Perform ad-hoc errands, including off-site tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality on all team-related matters and player interactions.
- Fulfill bat boy duties when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assist in unpacking visiting team equipment prior to each home series.
- Set up dugout and bullpen before each game.
- Run baseballs to the umpire during the game.
- Collect bats in between batters.
- Help around the clubhouse when requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in sports management is a plus.
- Previous experience in a clubhouse attendant role or similar position within a professional or educational sports environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational, prioritization and multitasking with attention to detail required.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills required.
- Ability to work flexible and irregular hours required. This includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as hours will be based on the team's schedule and will include very late evenings and early mornings at times.
- Must possess valid driver’s license.
- Incumbent is required to be physically active. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and regularly stand for prolonged periods of time.
