Overview

We are seeking an experienced UX/UI leader in the areas of design, research, and product management to join our team. As a Digital Experience Lead, you will establish, formalize, and evolve strategies, teams, and processes in pursuit of building cohesive and seamless user experiences across solutions delivered in partnership with marketing, mass communications, technical product teams in IT and across citizen development groups in the business.

This person will work closely with senior leaders and front‑line managers to ensure that we are designed with an outside‑in approach, better coordinating on design, and maturing how we work as teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead UX strategy and design direction, assuring alignment with user needs and business goals by translating complex requirements into clear and thoughtful user flows and designs.
  • Build and maintain design systems, component libraries, and documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement on existing design workflows, processes, and collaborative processes across teams.
  • Partner closely with software development, technical teams, QA, marketing, communications, and other business units and stakeholders to elevate designs that are inclusive and cohesive.
  • Align design frameworks and methodologies with industry best standards.
  • Establish and coach the UX/UI team to properly support the transformation of Digital solutions to meet our business and customers not only where they are today but where they are headed tomorrow.
  • Serve as “Design Coach” through championing, training, and mentoring across the organization.
  • Resolve team impediments both internally and externally.
  • Develop and track KPIs to drive accessibility compliance and design milestones.
Requirements
  • 5+ years professional experience in UX/UI or product management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Experience managing a team of designers and mentoring design professionals.
  • Comfortable working across design, product, and front‑end development functions.
  • Ability to report on design and user experience KPIs and product readiness.
  • Experience with design tool chains such as Figma, with a preference for AI agentic facilitators such as Figma Make.
  • Experience defining SLAs, monitoring standards, and incident processes.
  • Ability to align design and accessibility with business goals.
  • Track record of improving deployment, speed, uptime, and observability.
  • Skilled in cost optimization and vendor management across tooling.
  • Experience bringing designs into accessibility compliance with ADA & WCAG.
  • Experience building responsive designs across a variety of devices and client types.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate user personas creation and journey mapping exercises.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
