Security Operations Intern

The Security Operations Intern will assist with analyzing, developing, and implementing information security controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PSECU’s information.

• Analyze, develop, and implement information security controls.
• Assist in hunting for threats within the ecosystem, focusing on exposure and eradication.
• Explore data analysis techniques, human intuition, expert security knowledge, and security tools to uncover malicious activity.
• Help ensure the network environment is set up according to best practices and use proactive monitoring to prevent new and future threats.
• Report to the Information Security Operations Manager and collaborate closely with other areas within the Technology and Operations (Tech Ops) organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The intern should report onsite two days a week, dependent on the intern’s school schedule.

• Any equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Must be a current student actively pursuing a degree or certification for the duration of the internship/student worker assignment.
• Must meet PSECU’s minimum employment eligibility requirements, including being at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
