Role
Senior Information Architect leading the design and standardization of scientific data across pre-clinical discovery and manufacturing in biopharma.
Responsibilities- collaborate with scientists and engineering teams to develop ontologies, data models, and controls that enhance data quality, context, and usability
- embed standards in data capture workflows
- adopt industry ontologies like BAO to contextualize datasets
- develop best practices for data management supporting research insights
- Bachelor's or Master's in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related
- over 5 years in biopharma or life sciences with hands-on experience in scientific ontologies, semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL, SPARQL), and knowledge graphs
- deep understanding of pre-clinical workflows and manufacturing data
- proficiency in data modeling and ontology tools (e.g., CENTree)
- expertise in biological, chemical, and operational data, GxP compliance, and lab data platforms such as LIMS, ELN, CDS
- experience with time-series data (e.g., OSIsoft PI)
- partner with R&D scientists, process engineers, and IT teams
hybrid in the US with approximately 10% travel.
