Claims Manager

Eames Consulting has partnered with a leading P&C insurance carrier looking to add an experienced Claims Manager. Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster license(s).
• Handle complex commercial lines claims, including higher severity exposures.
• Investigate General Liability claims, including coverage determination and evaluation of loss exposures Determine appropriate reserving levels
• Exercise significant limits of authority, discretion, and independent judgment in claim handling.
• Identify potentially suspicious claims and ensure proper investigations.
• Provide coverage interpretation and draft detailed positional coverage letters.
• Manage all aspects of claims, including informal hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and claims litigation.
• 7–10 years of Commercial General Liability claims experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience); industry designations preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills with ability to resolve complex situations while maintaining relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft and present clear coverage positions.
• Knowledge of statutes, regulations, and case law related to claims.
