Position Summary

The Paint Systems Specialist is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating material orders, and supporting customer body shop operations to ensure efficient workflow and high service standards. This role serves as a key liaison between the store, warehouse, and customer locations, ensuring timely delivery, accuracy, and strong customer relationships.

The Paint Systems Specialist ensures accuracy in order fulfillment, compliance with safety regulations, and professionalism in all customer interactions while supporting overall store operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels at assigned customer locations, identifying low stock, missing items, and future material needs
  • Review usage trends and anticipate demand based on workflow and volume
  • Prepare and submit accurate material orders, ensuring correct quantities, part numbers, and special instructions
  • Coordinate with store and warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Assist in preparing and organizing materials for delivery, verifying accuracy of items and quantities
  • Communicate any backorders, discrepancies, or issues to appropriate teams in a timely manner
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technicians and painters at assigned locations
  • Identify, document, and communicate special requests or unique material needs
  • Provide updates on order status and delivery timelines as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, deliveries, and customer interactions
  • Report missing items, damaged goods, or customer concerns promptly
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and company vehicle (if applicable) Demonstrate strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous industry experience preferred; warehouse or distribution is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and a strong customer service mindset.
  • Knowledge of local delivery routes and territory is helpful
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following structured routes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices preferred.
