Hey — Let's find your next opportunity

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

About FORT Robotics

FORT Robotics is the safety and security layer for smart machines and autonomous systems. We worry about the worst-case scenarios of robotic deployment so our customers don't have to.

Our SIL 3-certified wireless control platform — including Safe Remote Controls, Wireless E-Stops, Vehicle Safety Controllers, Endpoint Controllers, and the FORT Manager software suite — gives builders and operators of robots and heavy equipment the tools to deploy faster, reduce risk, and interact safely with people and other machines. Hundreds of companies across warehousing, construction, agriculture, manufacturing, mining, transportation, lawn care, and delivery trust FORT to keep workers safe and operations moving.

Headquartered in Philadelphia and backed by investors including Prime Movers Lab, Prologis, Tiger Global, and Mark Cuban, FORT is scaling rapidly as physical AI and autonomy reshape every industry. If you want to help build the foundation for a safer, more autonomous future — alongside a team that takes both safety and velocity seriously — we'd love to meet you.

About the job

As the Manager of Supply Chain at FORT Robotics, you will take ownership of our supply position from end-to-end, encompassing vendor purchase orders, safety stock management, contract manufacturer relationships, and demand planning. This pivotal role involves collaboration with sales, customer experience leadership, and engineering to ensure a balanced forecast and inventory, while also supporting the development of supply chains for new products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain safety stock levels for all active SKUs; flag risk before it becomes a customer problem.
  • Build rolling demand forecasts from Salesforce pipeline data and historical velocity; translate them into PO decisions aligned to CM lead times.
  • Own all purchase orders with Contract Manufacturers — placement, tracking, receipt confirmation, and escalation.
  • Drive improvement in supplier fill rates and lead time performance; develop dual-source options for high-concentration vendors.
  • Coordinate First Article Inspections for new CM batches with the Operations team.
  • Produce weekly and monthly KPI reports per SOP covering backorder rate, stock‑out events, inspection pass rate, and inventory turn.
  • Maintain Fishbowl as the system of record; PO records, lead times, and stock data must be accurate and current.
  • Partner with Engineering during new product development to evaluate component sourcing options, establish approved vendor lists, and optimize BOM costs before designs are finalized.
  • Support ISO 9001 compliance through auditable inventory and procurement records.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4–6 years in supply chain, procurement, or inventory management in a hardware or contract manufacturing environment.
  • Direct CM relationship experience: PO management, lead time negotiation, and quality escalation.
  • Hands‑on ERP/IMS proficiency.
  • Ability to build demand forecasts from CRM pipeline data and act on them proactively.
  • Strong written communication skills; you will be escalating supply constraints to leadership before they affect customers.
  • Experience in robotics, defense, industrial automation, or similarly demanding hardware environments preferred.
  • ISO 9001 familiarity is a plus.
  • 1–2 years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing individuals, with a track record of fostering growth, accountability, and strong team performance.
  • Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $160,000 USD.
  • Flexible hybrid work environment promoting work‑life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth within a dynamic team.
Company Culture:

At FORT Robotics, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where every team member feels valued and empowered. We believe in collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, and we are dedicated to building a safer, more autonomous future.
