Park Maintenance Supervisor - Pymatuning State Park

Here, you will be the driving force behind all maintenance and construction projects, ensuring our park's buildings, roads, facilities, and grounds are in top‑notch conditions for the outdoor recreationalists who visit each and every year!

As a Park Maintenance Supervisor 2, you will be tasked with leading a crew of maintenance workers while planning and organizing the overall maintenance program for Pymatuning State Park. This includes evaluating, prioritizing, and assigning construction, renovation, installation, repair, and maintenance projects for completion. You will be responsible for creating work schedules and reviewing the work of subordinates on a daily basis to ensure work is being done according to assignments.

Specific duties will entail preparing material and supply lists for all projects; monitoring the budgetary status for projects and authorizing additional spending as necessary; ensuring the accurate delivery of ordered supplies; and conducting inventories of supplies as needed. The primary focus of this position is to ensure that all park maintenance related duties are accomplished in order to provide park visitors with a safe and enjoyable recreational experience.

• Work schedule will vary. Work will be scheduled 5 days/37.5 hours per week and will include a 30‑minute lunch.
  • Work may be scheduled on weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed.

• One year of experience as a Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Five years of semi‑skilled maintenance or construction experience in two of the following: electrical trades, plumbing trades, carpentry trades, mechanical trades, water or wastewater treatment plant operations, or the operation of small and medium size construction or agricultural equipment; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

• This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
