Senior Project Manager – Energy Solutions (Mechanical / MEP Construction)
Hybrid (Remote + Regional Travel) | Greater Pittsburgh Region
We are partnering with a leading energy and infrastructure solutions provider to identify a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of complex mechanical and MEP construction projects across the Western Pennsylvania region.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role responsible for full lifecycle project delivery, with a strong focus on construction execution, mechanical systems, and central plant infrastructure.
OverviewThe Senior Project Manager will own the end-to-end execution of mechanical construction projects, leading delivery from design handoff through construction, commissioning, and closeout. This role serves as the central point of coordination across internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, with full accountability for project performance, financial outcomes, and successful field execution.
Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle project execution from design handoff through construction and closeout
- Manage large-scale mechanical, HVAC, and central plant construction projects
- Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and field teams across multiple active job sites
- Drive schedule adherence, cost control, and proactive risk management
- Own project financials including budgets, forecasting, change orders, and margin performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and strong relationship management
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure constructability and successful project delivery
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable safety standards
- 7+ years of Project Management experience in mechanical, HVAC, or MEP construction
- Background working with a general contractor, mechanical contractor, or design-build firm
- Proven experience managing complex commercial or institutional projects (healthcare, higher ed, municipal, etc.)
- Strong experience with central plant systems, boilers, chillers, and large mechanical infrastructure
- Demonstrated success managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and overall delivery
Ability to lead field execution while coordinating across multiple stakeholders - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- PMP, CCM, DBIA, or similar certifications preferred
- Based in the Greater Pittsburgh / Western PA region
- Hybrid structure with regular travel to project sites across Western Pennsylvania and surrounding areas
- No relocation to a specific job site required
