JOB DESCRIPTION

Project 26 Pennsylvania is the home for Pennsylvania students who are ready to challenge the far‑right's attacks on our futures and build a Pennsylvania where Gen‑Z can lead and thrive.

In 2026, young Pennsylvanians will have the opportunity to elect a Governor, who will be instrumental in standing up to a government that has constantly overlooked the youth. At an estimated 793,555 registered voters across the state, Gen‑Z has the power to determine the outcomes of these elections – but only if we get organized now.

What Will You Do?

The Deputy Operations Director will be the key stakeholder in onboarding our campus fellowship team. Strong applicants will be able to manage multiple aspects of the hiring process while also providing support in supply procurement, event coordination, and programmatic budgeting.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Pre‑screen candidates for campus fellowship positions and coordinate interviews with Organizing, Digital, and Voter Protection teams
  • Help develop and create outside‑the‑box stunts & events on college campus aimed at driving up interest in our organizing efforts
  • Vet procurement requests and assist the Operations Director in order placement and supply distribution
  • Provide support in tracking expenses and ensuring budgets are kept
  • Coordinate staff travel and logistics, including hotel, flight, car, and per diem requests
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, such as union printers, graphic designers, and food vendors
  • Travel to and be the on‑site contact for large scale events at select college locations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Director

The Deputy Operations Director should also be prepared to periodically provide assistance to the organizing teams' Voter Registration efforts

Who Are You?

You’re a strong fit if you:

  • Can balance multiple priorities at once
  • Are ready to pivot as priorities and directives change in real‑time
  • Want a job that aligns with your civic priorities and provides a service to your community

In short, the operations team is successful when we've set our peers up to be successful!

Position Details & Requirements
  • The Deputy Operations Director will report to the Operations Director
  • Must reside in Pennsylvania
  • Must have a car and a driver's license
  • Must have completed at least one cycle in campaign, non‑profit, or union organizing
  • Compensation for this role is $6,000 monthly and includes PTO, health benefits, a travel stipend and a technology stipend
  • During key mobilization periods, staff will observe PTO blackout dates. Barring parental, bereavement, or another protected leave class, staff will not be able to take PTO during these times.

  • 10 days before a General or Primary election
