Location: Remote with occasional onsite work at the project site in Eastern PA and some overnight travel

OverviewThe A.C. Coy Company has an immediate opening for a Project Manager. This individual will be responsible for working with a team of Project Managers to oversee a $20MM+ industrial automation project in the Greater Philadelphia area. Onsite work will be as needed for meetings. Some overnight travel will be required for training and assisting other project sites. Ideal candidates will have 7+ years of Project Management experience involving large-scale engineering, automation, industrial, or robotics projects.
This will be an opportunity to play a high-impact role in implementing the largest automation system of its kind in North America.
- Plan, control, and coordinate the scope, budget, and schedule of projects
- Make the necessary decisions to ensure project success
- Ensure that sufficient resources are available for the proper execution of the project
- Communicate with clients and maintain an excellent relationship with them
- Coordinate work with internal teams to ensure project progress
- Track, document, and update the budget, and manage changes and addenda for each project
- Plan and supervise delivery, installation, and start-up activities
- Monitor the budget through the ERP system
- Ensure governance of assigned projects, including reporting and updating project management tools, KPIs, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or another relevant field
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with an ERP system
- Ability to lead and facilitate in‑person and virtual meetings with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Strong negotiation skills; able to manage expectations regarding changes to scope, budget, and timelines
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Project and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel within the U.S. and to Canada
- Specific experience managing complex engineering, automation, or industrial equipment projects
- PMP certification
- Working knowledge or proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP
The hired candidate will spend the first two weeks in Canada for company training and then two weeks at an active project site in Kansas City for on‑site project training. After that it will be predominantly remote with some on‑site work at the new project site in Eastern, PA.
