Responsibilities
- Lead the Global Product Team (GPT) and Global Development Team (GDT) for a specific asset/product.
- Accountable for clinical development of the product/indication and creation/execution of the clinical development plan.
- Build and deliver an integrated product strategy through milestones/decision points to drive approvals and maximize product value.
- Update Disease Area Head on program metrics, milestones, risks; primary governance interface for OLT/OSGT.
- Deliver R&D budget (at/below target) and manage funding savings/re-distributions.
- Partner with Oncology Commercial, BD & Commercial Development to evaluate US/ex-US investment opportunities.
- Integrate regulatory and statistical input into trial design; ensure health authority interactions.
- Drive project vision/strategy alignment across global functions; communicate strategy to teams.
- Lead talent acquisition, performance management, and mentoring for program team.
- Accountable for safety evaluations/decisions and clinical pharmacology for dose/schedule selection.
- Incorporate advisory board/steering committee input into trial design.
- Drive objective setting, prioritization, risk/issue management, contingency planning; foster a positive team environment.
- MD with 10+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical/academic/medical research.
- Experience in early/late-stage product development, regulatory filings (BLA/NDA; sBLAs/sNDAs) and product launches/lifecycle management (strongly preferred).
- Data-driven strategy leadership; proactive, strategic, strong decision-making.
- Oncology experience required.
- Experience with corporate partners/alliance management; matrix leadership.
- Strong leadership, communication/presentation, business acumen, staff management/mentoring; collaboration.
- Base salary: $295,900–$493,100; bonus target 30% of base; eligible for long-term incentive.
