Machinist

Operates and maintains equipment to fabricate, assemble, and repair precision parts. The machinist interprets blueprints and uses a variety of tools to meet specified dimensions and quality standards. Responsible for the setup, testing, and adjustment of machines, ensuring smooth operation and efficiency in the production process.

• Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt)

• Pay Range: $23.00-$29.00

• Work Location: Onsite - Saegertown, Pennsylvania

• Operate mechanical equipment (lathes, milling machines, grinders) to fabricate, assemble, and repair parts.

• Interpret machining instructions, job orders, and blueprints to determine specifications, operations, setups, and tooling needs.

• Set cutting speeds, feed rates, and tool parameters based on machining instructions and material properties.

• Select and use appropriate tools to cut, shape, and finish metal, plastic, and composite materials.

• Set up, maintain, and service equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Measure parts with precision instruments to verify conformance to specifications.

• Assist with the installation, operation, and adjustment of machines for precision part production.

• Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units as needed.

• Report issues with machinery or parts to supervisors for resolution.

• Provide training assistance and mentoring to team members as needed.

• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.

• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

• Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.

• Must be able to work in noisy environments.
