Position Summary

The Production Business Unit Leader – IWS / TPM owns the performance and continuous improvement of assigned production line(s) at Just Born’s Bethlehem, PA facility.

As part of the Line Trio, this role partners with Maintenance Systems and Manufacturing & Systems Engineering to drive results across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, and Nature (SQCDMN). The focus is on enabling a strong integrated work stream through Integrated Work Systems (IWS), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and disciplined daily management.

This role is hands‑on and floor‑focused, will need to engage and support associates across shifts working through systems, standards, and data to eliminate losses, build capability, and support consistent execution.

How You’ll Impact Results Line Performance & Accountability
  • Own the performance of assigned production line(s) as part of the Line Trio, delivering results across SQCDMN
  • Provide clear leadership to the Line Trio through shared priorities and direction
  • Develop and execute annual and 90‑day action plans for assigned line(s)
  • Establish accountability within the Line Trio and self to implement and sustain agreed plans
  • Use data to identify process losses and partner with line leadership to prioritize improvement opportunities
  • Lead efforts to eliminate or reduce prioritized losses through process, equipment, or work‑system changes
Integrated Work Stream / Daily Management Systems
  • Lead the Daily Direction Setting (DDS) process for the line(s)
  • Own and sustain critical Daily Management Systems (DMS)
  • Implement and follow Integrated Work Systems (IWS) principles across the line
  • Support supply‑chain loss analysis and elimination efforts
  • Apply technical expertise for a designated process
  • Deliver daily, weekly, monthly, and annual objectives through disciplined systems execution
Standards, Training & Capability Building
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing & Systems Engineer and Maintenance Systems Leader to develop and maintain operational standards
  • Standardize equipment and work processes; update operating procedures and process‑control strategies as changes occur
  • Prepare and deliver training on process and equipment changes
  • Provide training on key DMS routines, including evaluation and qualification
  • Coach, train, and provide feedback to associates on IWS principles and execution
  • Build line capability through structured qualification, coaching, and reinforcement of standard work
Safety, Compliance & Presence
  • Implement and follow all safety procedures, plant policies, and the Just Born code of ethics
  • Consistently model and reinforce safe behaviors and standard work
  • Spend 60–80% of time on the manufacturing floor, supporting execution, problem solving, and capability building
  • Adapt schedule as needed to support manufacturing operations, including nights, weekends, or overtime when required
Your Qualifications That Will Ensure Success E​ducation & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in engineering, supply chain, or other technical major.
  • A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated abilities may be substituted.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated technical capability & leadership aptitude
  • Prior people leadership, supervisor, or manager experience in manufacturing environments
  • Background in roles such as Production Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Production Manager, Continuous Improvement Leader or similar
  • Experience with an IWS (Integrated Work System), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), or Six Sigma Lean system
