** Apprentice Press Technician

** a leading advanced contract manufacturer, is currently accepting applications for a full-time
** Apprentice Press Technician
** to join our Stamping team. We are seeking candidates with strong mechanical aptitude who thrive in a collaborative manufacturing environment and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
*** Responsibilities*****:
*** Learn, according to applicable apprenticeship standards for Press Technology, the knowledge and skills necessary to receive state certified journeyman’s papers upon completion of the program (typically 3 years)
* Learn to install, align, and lock dies into rams or beds of machines
* Set-up, operate and monitor progressive stamping die presses that punch, crimp, bend, etc.. to make quality metal parts
* Test and adjust machine feeds and speeds.  Record operational, quality, and shipping documentation
* Clean and lubricate machines
* Regular attendance for on-site apprenticeship classes
* Follow all safety and quality programs and procedures

* Shifts:

Must be able to work rotating shifts of daylight, afternoon and midnight**## Qualifications

* Qualifications:

**** Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; some vocational-technical training preferred
* High level of technical, mechanical and math ability
* Desire to learn and ability to apply knowledge to on-the-job tasks
* Able to regularly attend required, on-site apprenticeship classes
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Service attitude, commitment to safety and quality
* Must be able to work weekly rotating shifts (day, afternoon and midnight)
* Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
