Material Handling​/Pit Equipment Maintenance Mechanics

PIT MECHANIC FOR MATERIAL HANDLING EQUIPMENT – 1ST Shift

This position works primarily with the material handling/PIT equipment. Previous experience with general maintenance or equivalent experience is preferred, and there will be an opportunity to be trained to work with process equipment.

• The work day will consist of preventative maintenance, corrective work, and troubleshooting/repair of PIT equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and pallet trucks.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills; a dependable, self‑motivated individual who can accomplish tasks promptly with a positive attitude, willing to learn and grow with the company.
• Must be able to work independently or with a team to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the PIT fleet.
• Must be able to work from OEM manuals and/or verbal instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; safety is a priority.
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and walk throughout the day with the ability to lift up to 50 lb as needed.
