Forklift Operator

Position: Forklift Operator. Works in collaboration with other forklift operators, truck drivers, and general laborers to achieve performance goals. The role includes loading and unloading vehicles, while safely utilizing forklifts to complete tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklift to load and unload products from commercial vehicles and put away finished goods.
• Receive and physically inspect products to ensure quality standards.
• Bring consumables to the production areas as needed.
• Always maintain equipment in operating function and clean it at the end of each shift.
• Partner with the yard supervisor to handle discrepancies, malfunctions, and potential issues.
• Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
• Collaboratively work with team to take on additional duties as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communicator; actively reports on issues and progress.
• Safety-focused; operates equipment according to safety standards.
• Time management; comfortable with time-driven deadlines and goals.

Education and Experience:

• 1+ year experience as a sit-down forklift operator, or relevant work.
• Familiarity with forklift operation and safety.
• High School Diploma (preferred).
