Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and sanitation requirements.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery and facility systems to identify potential issues.
• Follow all safety procedures and support a strong safety culture within the facility.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (food or beverage experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems (including motors, controls, and basic PLCs), and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with automated production and packaging equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety standards such as GMP and HACCP.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
