SGL Sinking Spring is located in Southeast Pennsylvania and is part of the Business Unit Graphite Solutions. Our focus is on the flexible machining of graphite and carbon components for a wide range of industrial and electronic applications and we work closely with the site in St. Marys.
The shipping supervisor is responsible for all operations and performance of the Sinking Spring Shipping Department, with 2 direct reports.
What to expect:
- Coordinate schedules, plan overtime, and organize daily work orders for crates, skids, and packaging materials.
- Track and order all packaging supplies.
- Check special customer packing requirements, write specs, track crate demsions and create labels.
- Complete daily shipping in SAP (delivery notes, packing lists, BOL), log previous day's shipments, and finalize work order completions.
- Set up carriers, schedule freight, and manage export paperwork.
- Print labels, prepare customer certs, and route required paperwork.
What we're looking for:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with all levels of organization (production, management, sales)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
