Shipley Energy is looking for a self-motivated Marketing Specialist to join our team and handle the marketing for our heating oil and propane brands.
This is a hands-on role for someone who likes to execute and enjoys variety. You'll manage email campaigns, social media, website updates, SEO content, and online reviews across a handful of regional brands. You get to determine, run, measure, and continually improve marketing campaigns.
You’ll work closely with the Vice President of Marketing, who will help guide direction while you own the day-to-day execution. You’ll also have the support of Shipley Energy’s broader marketing team when you need it.

Responsibilities- Plan and execute marketing campaign strategy and tactics for our heating oil and propane divisions to retain existing customers, attract new customers, and maximize gross profit
- Create and execute email, social media, SEO/AEO content, and review management
- Update website and e-commerce with promotions and content
Assist with digital advertising strategy for Google and Paid Social - Ensure all communications and content align with brand standards and brand voice for the varying divisions
- Analyze and report on campaign performance and KPIs, suggesting adjustments based on findings
- Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors
- Manage marketing events for the heating oil and propane divisions
- Utilize project management software, provide detailed campaign information and clarity for marketing campaigns
- Ensure marketing deadlines are met and within budget
- Assist with onboarding new acquisitions
- Communicate with marketing team and business unit stakeholders about current and upcoming projects
- Develop product knowledge of our various product lines
- Stay up to date on current marketing best practices, trends, and skills.
- Create campaigns, review results, and implement and test improvements
- Be up to date on emerging technology, including AI, and utilize it when appropriate
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or business management and 2+ years of professional marketing experience

- Experience creating integrated marketing campaigns and measuring results
- Experience using or reporting KPIs to set guidance, strategize, and optimize campaigns
- Experience with marketing technologies and CRMS such as Word Press, Hub Spot, Google Analytics, Salesforce, Claude/ChatGPT, or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
- Ability to learn new software and tasks quickly and with accuracy
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
