26-27 BCYC Community Partnership & Program Operations VISTA
The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia’s Youth Cycling Program uses cycling as a tool for youth development, fostering confidence, wellness, and opportunity for young people across Philadelphia. We are seeking a Community Partnership & Program Operations VISTA to help build the program’s long-term effectiveness and reach. In this role, the VISTA will strengthen the program by deepening existing partnerships with schools and youth organizations, developing new relationships with community partners, and creating materials that support coach training and youth recruitment.
The VISTA will also lead program evaluation efforts — conducting surveys and focus groups — and implement systems to track attendance data and bike equipment maintenance.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, community-minded candidate with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience in program coordination, community outreach, data management, or youth-serving environments is a plus. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of relationship-building and systems thinking and wants to make a tangible difference in how a youth program grows and operates.
Member DutiesThe VISTA will be part of the 26-27 Coach Across America national VISTA cohort of 64 members. The VISTA will audit and expand community partnerships with schools and youth organizations; develop coach training, outreach, and recruitment materials; manage a centralized program resource library; administer pre- and post-program surveys and coordinate participant focus groups; compile evaluation findings to inform program decisions; and implement attendance tracking and bike maintenance systems to strengthen program operations across all sites.
