Licensed Practical Nurse - Southeastern Veterans' Center; 2nd and 3rd Shift

The Department of Military & Veterans Affairs seeks hardworking and caring Licensed Practical Nurses to provide superior care to veterans and their spouses at the Southeast Veterans Center.

In our long‑term care facility, you will perform duties as a Licensed Practical Nurse in planning, implementing, and evaluating assigned resident care in collaboration with a Registered Nurse. You will ensure adherence to HIPAA standards and work to improve residents’ quality of life by providing the best care possible.

• Full‑time employment, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Available shifts:
  • 2nd shift – 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • 3rd shift – 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Telework: not an option
• Salary: for candidates new to Pennsylvania employment, starting annual salary of $67,558.00 before taxes
• Hiring program: eligible for a referral payment up to $4,000

• Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania
• Temporary practice permit holders must obtain licensure within one year
• PA residency requirement currently waived
• If within 60 days of completing an approved nursing program, you may apply. At appointment you must provide a valid PA temporary practice permit or licensed practitioner certificate
• Must be able to perform essential job functions

• Falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act
• Conditional offers require satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance
• Conditional offers may also require a medical examination and drug screening
