Job Summary

Schedule:

3-8 hour shifts, 3:00pm – 11:00pm. With a commitment to patient- and family-centered care, the professional nurse uses the nursing process to value the uniqueness of each individual and addresses the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of a diverse patient population. The nurse develops nursing plans of care in collaboration with patients and their designated care partners, ensuring that care is consistent with patients’ cultural beliefs and values.

• Integrate evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and patient, family, and cultural preferences to deliver optimal healthcare.
• Partner with patients and their care partners to identify learning needs, priorities, and provide education that is useful, understandable, and affirming.
• Minimize risk of harm to patients and others by following established nursing practices, protocols, and personal performance standards.
• Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support ethical decision making.
• Use data to monitor outcomes of care processes and apply improvement methods to design and test changes that continuously improve the quality and safety of patient care.
• Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision-making to achieve quality patient care.
• Recognize and respect patients and their partners in providing safe, compassionate, and coordinated care based on personal preferences, priorities, and cultural beliefs.

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• PA – State of Pennsylvania.

• Bachelor’s Degree BSN or completion within 3 years of hire strongly preferred.

• Previous experience as an RN in an acute‑care setting strongly preferred.

• Lift and carry 40-50 lbs.
• Push/pull patients on bed or stretcher (requires 29 lbs push force).
• Lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient’s weight.
• Frequent to continuous standing/walking; patient transporters may walk 8-10 miles per shift.
• Perform activities specific to the role including kneeling, bending, squatting, and performing CPR.
