Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Care RN will provide direct nursing care for General Medical and Surgical patients, including those undergoing short stay procedures, orthopedic, and stroke care. The RN will also manage the care of remote telemetry monitored patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKG, IV insertion, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring.
• Conduct assessments and document care accurately.
• Assist with rapid sequence intubation (RSI) when necessary.
• Conduct point-of-care testing (blood glucose).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2+ years of Med Surg experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed.
