The Registered Nurse at South Mountain Restoration Center helps create a caring and steady environment for residents. • Resident Assessment
  :
  Evaluate resident conditions and determine care needs based on ongoing observations.
• Care Coordination
  :
  Organize and guide nursing interventions and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Medication Oversight
  :
  Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring resident responses.
• Staff Guidance
  :
  Support and direct non‑professional nursing staff through instruction and on‑the‑job training.
• Documentation Accuracy
  :
  Prepare clear written and oral reports to support communication and compliance.
• Safety Practices
  :
  Maintain a therapeutic environment by applying infection control and emergency response procedures.

• Full–time employment.
• Work hours are 2nd shift (2:45 PM – 11:15 PM, 30‑minute lunch) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, no lunch).
• Rotating on and off duty days, including weekends and holidays with every other weekend off.
• Overtime and travel as needed.

• Telework: not allowed.
• Salary: new hires begin at $93,888.00 per year (before taxes).

• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• Employees with an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within one year of the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing definition.
• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• Applicants within 60 days of graduating from an accredited nursing school may apply. Proof of a current temporary practice permit or license must be provided upon appointment.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.

• Conditional employment offer requires completion of a medical examination and drug screening test.
• Position falls under the Older Adult Protective Services Act, requiring satisfactory criminal history reports (PA State Police, FBI clearance).
