Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Scranton, Pennsylvania

Contract – 13 Weeks | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday | Travel Assignment

• Provide direct nursing care for general medical, surgical, short-stay, orthopaedic, and stroke patients
• Monitor and care for remote telemetry patients as part of a 30-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Perform EKG interpretation, IV insertion, Foley insertion, and medication administration
• Complete thorough assessment documentation and vital signs monitoring using Cerner EMR
• Assist with rapid sequence intubation (RSI) and conduct point-of-care testing including blood glucose monitoring
• Float to other units as needed per facility requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1–2 years of Medical Surgical experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR

• Experience caring for telemetry-monitored patients
• Familiarity with orthopaedic and stroke patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience

• No on-call requirements, offering a predictable and manageable schedule
• Opportunity to work in a structured Medical Surgical Telemetry environment with a defined scope of practice
