Position PurposeWe are a 2-doctor practice with strong community reputations. With a well-deserved retirement approaching next year, we welcome another veterinarian to join our team. Our support staff receives monthly training, ensuring their skills remain current. Together we form a family of caring, growing, and successful professionals. Day‑to‑day, we offer a wide array of services including surgery, dentistry, cardiology, routine and acute exams, and more, using equipment such as digital radiology, in‑house laboratory, MLS laser, digitherm scanners, and an ultrasound arriving this year.
We’re looking for a confident, initiative‑driven team player. Interests in business/operations and leadership will be encouraged. Flexible hours, no on‑call expectations, and open to all experience levels, with some surgery experience preferred.
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift or carry over 25 pounds with assistance.
