DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will conduct a wide range of indoor and outdoor maintenance and construction activities throughout Trough Creek State Park, part of the Canoe Creek State Park Complex. Assignments include carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, and other building trades to repair structures and facilities and replace or install varied equipment and amenities. You will safely operate park vehicles and equipment and assist with the care, maintenance, and upkeep of tools and equipment.
Grounds maintenance includes mowing, weeding, planting, trash removal, restroom maintenance, debris management, snow removal, and maintaining proper signage. You will also perform housekeeping and maintenance of park facilities, including cleaning and stocking restrooms, shower houses, offices, and pavilions. Courteous communication may be used to assist park visitors by providing general information in a friendly and helpful manner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information
- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026, with leave without pay; employees are returned to employment in March 2027.
- Work schedule is 5 days per week, 37.5 hours per week, with a 30-minute lunch. Some work may be scheduled on weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work, including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
