Position Overview

Food Safety Specialist, $18–$24 per hour. Supports hotel, restaurant and grocery clients in upholding brand standards, ensuring exceptional food quality, and delivering friendly, customer‑focused service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments that measure conformity to regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards.
  • Observe food preparation and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices.
  • Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
  • Teach and coach clients to create safer and healthier workplace environments.
  • Travel 50–70% of time (8–10 days per month), including evenings and weekends.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and food safety training; investigate incidents; ensure compliance with regulations; maintain documentation and records.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as required.
  • CP‑FS certification or intent to obtain CP‑FS certification;
    Serv Safe certification a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent listening, organization, communication, and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to influence others with tact and skill; provide constructive feedback.
  • Thrive in autonomous environments; flexible scheduling ability.
  • Strong technical knowledge of food safety (preferred).
Travel & Work Schedule

Travel 50–70% of time (8–10 days per month). Must be available Monday–Friday, Saturday, evenings, and weekends as needed.
