Quality Control Technician duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:- Operate in compliance with all safety requirements of the facility.
- Perform routine inspection and analysis on incoming raw materials, in process samples and finished products according to approved procedures.
- Record QC inspection results and write QC reports.
- Maintain data integrity and quality records as to the status of inspected parts.
- Prepare and submit test samples as needed. Document and retain test results as required.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and specifications.
- Assist in qualification, maintenance, and calibration of inspection equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support Quality functions dealing with system performance such as:
- Preventive and Corrective Actions, Non-Conforming Materials, and Discrepant Materials Reports.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Help prepare Quality Standard Operating Procedures
- Participate in training activities.
- Good eyesight and good eye/hand coordination.
- Ability to respect all safety requirements to ensure yours and your colleagues’ safety.
- Able to operate department specific equipment necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Able to read, interpret, and follow SOPs, labels, instructions, specifications, and reference materials.
- Ability to skillfully use a caliper, micrometer, tape rule and other instruments.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to problem solve by looking beyond obvious solution to a problem and endeavor to find the best solution.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills – written and oral.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Background in an industrial environment
- Experience in Chemical or Plastics Quality Assurance Laboratory Inspection or Testing PREFERRED
- With ERP system and other internally developed software.
- With Microsoft pack:
Word, Excel (spreadsheet).
