Regional Operations Leader - East Coast

Location: Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, and/or near a major airport

This is a high-impact AVP/VP-level opportunity for a proven property management operator who can improve operational performance, establish consistent processes, develop high-performing teams, and drive measurable results.

Multifamily experience will be considered , particularly for candidates with strong multi-state portfolio leadership and demonstrated operational success. Experience with active adult and/or independent living communities is preferred but is not required.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide strategic direction and operational oversight across a multi-state portfolio of active adult, independent living, and traditional multifamily communities.
  • Support operational integration and performance of future acquisitions throughout the Eastern United States.
  • Establish and improve operating systems, procedures, processes, and best practices.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement practical, measurable solutions.
  • Champion initiatives that improve resident experience, retention, and community engagement.
Performance & Financial Management
  • Partner with marketing and asset management leadership to improve lead generation, conversion, pricing strategy, leasing performance, occupancy, and revenue.
  • Use data and KPIs to evaluate property and portfolio performance.
  • Monitor key metrics including occupancy, NOI, leasing velocity, renewal rates, and resident satisfaction .
  • Diagnose performance issues and develop clear action plans to improve results.
  • Work with property operations teams to implement and oversee budgets and business plans.
  • Monitor local market conditions, competitive communities, and pricing trends to support operational and leasing strategies.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop property-level operational leadership teams.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop high-performing teams through coaching, training, and hands-on leadership.
  • Work directly with property teams to resolve challenges and implement new initiatives when necessary.
  • Serve as a player-coach who can move between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
Property Standards & Compliance
  • Ensure properties are operated and maintained in accordance with company standards and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Identify operational deficiencies and oversee appropriate corrective action.
  • Ensure consistent execution of operational standards across the portfolio.
  • Maintain consistent brand standards and resident experience across all communities.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience in property management.
  • Proven experience managing multi-state or national portfolios .
  • Multifamily property management experience is welcome; active adult and/or independent living experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and leasing operations .
  • Demonstrated success using data analytics and KPIs to drive operational decisions and measurable results.
  • Proven ability to establish best-practice operational systems and procedures based on prior experience.
  • Strong ability to quickly identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated success building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial and operational understanding, including budgets and business plans.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Eastern United States.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with a strong sense of urgency.
