Cell Culture Development Associate (Bioreactors)

Pay Rate : $42/hr on W2

Primary Duties:
- Culturing mammalian cells in shake flask and bench top bioreactors.
- Support lab operational activities for rAAV cell culture studies in stirredtank bioreactors including AMBR
15 and/or AMBR
250 bioreactors. - Execution of molecular biology experiments including SDS-PAGE/westernblotting, plasmid cloning etc.
- Execute experimental designs; collect and format data for analyses in supportof technical platform development objectives.
- Compile data analysis summaries and present to appropriate project teams
- Contribute to the authoring of lab procedures, data analysis summaries, and support data verification and other relevant process documentation.
- Maintaining an accurate laboratory notebook following ALCOA+ principles.
- Ensuring work conforms to applicable quality and safety standards.
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
Education and Experience:
- B.S. in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or biology/molecularbiology or related area with 0 – 4 years of relevant scientific or technical experience in the life sciences industry or equivalent.
- Comfortable working with instrumentation and technologies in support of cellculture process monitoring. Digital data proficiency a plus.
- Experience with aseptic suspension cell culture methods, including sterilemedia and solution preparation is preferred.
- Experience in molecular biology techniques (eg: SDS-PAGE/western blotting,plasmid cloning, gene expression assays, etc) is preferred.
- Experience with viral vector production is preferred, but not essential.
