The George Washington University Maternal and Child Health Center of Excellence in the Department of Prevention and Community Health seeks exceptional candidates for a full‑time, academic research position at the rank of post‑doctoral fellow. This postdoctoral fellow will participate in the planning of independent research, analyze and interpret data, publish results, represent the university at conferences and meetings, and develop curricular and instructional skillsets.

Successful candidates should show potential to excel in tasks related to public health translational research related to MCH. This position may also lead and direct the work of research assistants and other staff.

• Perform independent translational research related to maternal and child health.
• Publish and present research findings.
• Engage in curriculum development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Hold a DrPH/PhD or equivalent degree.
• Fulfilled all requirements for the award of a PhD or equivalent qualification by the date of employment.
• Demonstrated ability to publish high‑quality scientific papers in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with other researchers.
• Strong project management skills, including coordinating teamwork and writing project reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

$62,232 – $65,000
