- Provide warm, welcoming dining experience for residents and their guests by attending to all aspects of the dining environment and service.
- Assist residents during meal time by helping residents locate their table, confirming their arrival and selection for the kitchen delivering meals, providing beverage service, etc. Servers also ensure the timely delivery of food and beverages by checking on residents periodically throughout the service time.
- Assists residents with submitting future menu selections including consideration of allergies or specific food requirements. Assures all residents have turned in their menus in a timely manner and answers questions about food and drink options.
- Provides exceptional customer service with a pleasant demeanor.
- Promotes and assures adherence to strict sanitary controls and food safety to assure compliance with regulatory agency guidelines. Clears tables after meal service and sets tables for next meal. Cleans equipment, tables, chairs, service equipment, carts, and work areas by utilizing approved practices and cleaning agents.
- Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved as you carry out working tasks.
- Enhances department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED or pass assessment test. Candidates with high school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age will have the opportunity to cross‑train as a Director Care Worker I.
- Must demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills and be detail‑oriented to ensure delivery of top‑quality customer service.
- Prior experience in a health care setting or working with elderly a plus.
