Position Summary
Provides member service and maintains the checkout area. Resolves member issues and concerns and promotes Sam’s Club products and services. Guides members regarding self‑service technology and processes member purchases. Handles payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies for various membership and payment types. Follows company safety standards, conducts safety sweeps, and reports unsafe situations to facility management.
Key Responsibilities- Acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs.
- Assists members with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise.
- Zones the area and arranges and organizes merchandise for sales and safety.
- Assists members with transporting items and maintains a safe shopping environment.
- Maintains entrance and exit areas, reviews receipts, and ensures secure handling of Sam’s Club assets.
- Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
- Executes emergency response procedures and ensures compliance with security and safety practices.
- Trains Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, technology, and program rollouts.
- Provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
- Properly handles returns, identifies shrink and damages, and maintains area compliance with policies.
- Completes work assignments by prioritizing tasks, collaborating with managers, co‑workers, and customers, and communicating progress.
- Adapts to change, reviews improvement opportunities, and learns from feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications- Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register).
