Description of Work

As a Part‑Time Sales Associate, you’ll be the face of our store – engaging with customers, assisting with sales, and contributing to a positive shopping atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, helping shoppers find what they need.
  • Manage sales transactions with a computerized cash register.
  • Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
  • Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders, loading them into vehicles.
  • Safely lift products – occasionally overhead or from a squatting position from the floor – weighing 30 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds, ensuring both personal safety and product protection.
  • Stand for extended periods of time.
  • Keep the store clean and organized.
  • Utilize scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
  • Follow all legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers who are legally permitted to buy it.
  • Work in a friendly, team‑oriented environment where every day brings new challenges and rewards.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Free onsite parking, situated within the Hampton Plaza.
  • Permanent, part‑time employment.
  • Preferred availability: 20–30 hours per week, with typical shifts ranging from 4–7 hours per shift. These shifts will be worked during the week and weekend with both daytime and evening hours.
  • Store hours include:
    • Monday–Tuesday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
    • Wednesday–Saturday: 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
    • Sunday: closed
  • Schedule details may change due to operational needs; applicants may be required to work schedules not outlined above.
  • Work hours vary. A minimum of 13 hours per week will be required with the ability to work more hours per week, depending on availability. Applicants interested in working additional shifts above the minimum can discuss availability with the General Manager. There is the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week.
  • Telework is not an option for this position.
  • Store location:
    This position is headquartered at the store listed above. Applicants may be assigned to work in other stores within the county or district based on operational needs. Applications are non‑transferable – do not apply if not willing to work in the listed location.
  • Salary:
    The starting salary for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.

Qualifications

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • Must pass a background investigation. A felony conviction within the last ten years of prospective employment is disqualifying per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis.
