United Utility Supply, a not-for-profit distributor of electrical utility materials, is headquartered in Louisville, KY.

Pennsylvania Account Manager – UUS is currently seeking an initiative-taking Account Manager based in Pennsylvania to support our Pennsylvania and southern New York Electric Utility industry in purchasing decisions.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Account Manager for United Utility Supply is responsible for developing, managing, and growing relationships with electrical utility customers—including investor-owned utilities, cooperatives, municipalities, EPC firms, and utility contractors—while driving sales of products, equipment, and solutions. This role ensures customer satisfaction, identifies new opportunities, and collaborates closely with internal teams and manufacturer partners to deliver value-driven service and support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned utility accounts, building trust-based relationships. Respond promptly to customer inquiries, issues, and service needs. Manage project timelines, material delivery schedules, contract renewals and negotiate pricing within established guidelines.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs, project pipelines, and inventory requirements. Provide technical support and guidance in product selection, application, and standards compliance.
  • Develop account plans and strategies to achieve or exceed annual sales and margin targets. Identify new opportunities for product penetration, project collaboration, and value-added services.
  • Prepare and present quotations, bids, and proposals for utility projects and annual material contracts.
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be discussed during the interview.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 3 years experience in the electric utility business preferred
  • 2 years outside sales experience preferred
  • Walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver’s license required
  • Computer experience, including Microsoft Office applications and inventory management systems
