About the Role
The Educational Sales Consultant, Western PA (ESC) is a client‑facing role responsible for all outside sales within a defined territory. ESC builds relationships with district‑level school administrators to promote Curriculum Associates products and services. Must live in western PA;
Pittsburgh area preferred.
- Become and act as an expert on the company’s products, student data, teacher challenges, and educational trends at local, state, and national levels.
- Develop and execute a sales territory plan in collaboration with the Implementation Service Team.
- Establish and maintain strong consultative relationships with high‑level school district leaders in targeted accounts.
- Deliver key sales presentations virtually or in person.
- Plan and execute regional events and conference attendance/sponsor ships.
- Demonstrate effective, successful working relationships with sales, marketing, service, account management, and product development teams.
- Engage in sales activities to generate revenue and meet territory plan metrics.
- Create and maintain an accurate opportunities pipeline.
- Forecast sales results and adjust the territory plan to align with annual priorities.
- Set up, maintain, and keep accurate customer contact records within the CRM system.
- Proactively share market trends, industry news, and competitive information with leadership.
- Monitor, screen, and respond timely to all internal and external communications.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field – or equivalent combination of education and successful work experience.
- 5+ years of equivalent experience in education or educational sales.
- Experience in a SaaS‑based sales environment.
- Understanding of the education landscape within the assigned territory.
- Preferred: prior experience in assessment and curriculum adoptions.
- Preferred: established relationships with district leaders within the assigned territory.
Travel: >80%, both driving and flying; some overnight travel required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs; prolonged periods of sitting, standing at conferences/events, or driving.
Benefits and Pay RangePay Range: $69,250‑$118,250 (range varies by experience and skill set).
