Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Pittsburgh​/Ohio Valley Region

Overview

Communicating the true value of our veterinary diagnostic and technology products and services is at the heart of our IDEXX commercial business. Our sales professionals develop deep and meaningful relationships offering solutions to meet our customers’ unique needs.

• Build strong relationships with veterinary customers to sell IDEXX’s medical device diagnostics portfolio.
• Engage customers through knowledgeable interactions, business discussions, and educational opportunities.
• Leverage consultative selling techniques to translate customer needs into diagnostic solutions.
• Sell IDEXX Digital Radiography (DR) Compact and System instrumentation, warranty, and peripheral supplies.
• Maintain sales forecasts and territory plans and manage distributor relationships.
• Initiate and coordinate lead generation with Veterinary Diagnostic Consultants, other IDEXX Sales Consultants, and distribution partners.
• Collaborate and co‑sell with other IDEXX sales professionals to close capital equipment and technology.
• Educate and train veterinary clinic staff about products, services, and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive and up‑to‑date knowledge of IDEXX products and services.
• Present IDEXX values to customers professionally, including understanding of industry, veterinary practice, customers, technology, operations, and processes.
• Attend trade shows and other educational events in the region.
• Manage IDEXX expenses and resources in line with company guidelines and directives.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 or more years of proven experience managing a sales territory.
• Experience selling capital equipment (analyzers, imaging, etc.) in the veterinary/animal health industry, human healthcare, and/or dental space.
• Preferred digital imaging sales experience.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a high‑team‑oriented sales environment.
• Extensive car travel (company car provided), occasional overnight travel, and flexibility for potential weekend work and trade shows.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable working in veterinary clinic and hospital environments.
• Must reside near a major airport and be willing to relocate into the Pittsburgh Region or Eastern Ohio Valley Region (greater Pittsburgh or Columbus, OH areas).

Base annual salary $90,000 to $105,000, negotiable based on experience. Lucrative quarterly commission structure. Health, dental, vision insurance Day One.
