Territory:
Northeast U.S. (Pennsylvania preferred)
We are partnering with a high-growth medical technology company to support the expansion of its innovative surgical robotics platform across the Northeast United States.
This field-based role is focused on driving adoption of a disruptive capital technology across soft-tissue surgery. You will work closely with surgeons, hospital leadership, and cross-functional teams to deliver clinical and economic value, supporting the use of robotic-assisted solutions in general surgery, gynecology, urology, and thoracic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Own and deliver against regional sales targets, driving revenue growth and market penetration
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across hospitals and surgical centers
- Lead the full capital sales cycle, including demonstrations, evaluations, negotiations, and closing
- Build strong relationships with surgeons, clinical stakeholders, and C-suite decision-makers
- Translate clinical benefits into tailored financial business cases to support adoption
- Conduct in-theatre observation and workflow analysis to identify customer pain points
- Deliver product demonstrations and manage extended evaluation / “test drive” programs
- Support contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and account agreements
- Ensure successful onboarding, implementation, and ongoing customer success
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, medical affairs, and customer support teams
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline visibility, and sales activity reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field
- Minimum 7+ years of medical device sales experience
- Proven track record in capital equipment sales (preferred)
- Experience with in minimally invasive, laparoscopic, or soft-tissue surgery
- Strong understanding of general surgery, gynecology, urology, and/or thoracic procedures
- Demonstrated success navigating complex hospital sales cycles and multi-stakeholder environments
- Experience with in surgical robotics and/or selling into IDNs considered a strong advantage
- Established network of surgeons and key opinion leaders is highly desirable
