Pharmaceutical Sales Hybrid Sales Representative / SWAT Position Summary
The Hybrid/SWAT Representative is responsible for engaging customers through multiple remote and face‑to‑face channels to promote brand messaging. The role includes developing and maintaining relationships with targeted accounts by engaging in dialogue using triggers, business acumen, and relevant conversations that leverage technology and digital resources.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Manage daily sales call activity according to defined expectations by covering vacant territories and expanding to other remote promotional capabilities via virtual engagements and face‑to‑face activities as defined by business requirements via outbound telephone calls, virtual engagements, or face‑to‑face interactions.
- Engage with HCPs face‑to‑face as needed when an opportunity is identified.
- Utilize digital resources and technology to connect with HCPs.
- Engage assigned HCP targets in depth program discussions to attain individual territory and company goals post launch.
- Profile and manage a targeted list of HCPs.
- Create and implement business plans to achieve territory and business goals.
- Effectively and persuasively communicate with customers using effective selling, listening and negotiation skills, utilizing proper terminology and approved messaging.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the disease state and program.
- Adhere to approved direction related to pre‑launch and post‑launch activities.
- Verify and complete required data entry in client CRM systems, such as details of the target’s responses and any follow‑through actions.
- Follow business rules for appropriate hand‑offs to other appropriate personnel.
- Communicate with the Sales Leader, team members and client on project progress as required.
- Create and maintain a positive impression with our client and client’s customers.
- Prepare reports for management as needed.
- Fully comply with all laws, regulations and client policies, code of conduct, all privacy and data guidelines and relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions.
- Perform special projects and assignments as directed by the program leadership.
- Travel in the field up to 30%.
- Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university or college.
- Pharmaceutical sales experience required.
- 1+ year therapeutic area experience preferred.
- Virtual sales experience required.
- Specialty pharmaceutical experience required.
- Experience utilizing digital resources and triggers/suggestions.
- Certified on product by client preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Credentialing RequirementsAs a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job‑related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the company’s expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans. Certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems may require a representative license.
At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami‑Dade County, Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses.
