Position Summary
The Oncology Sales Specialist (OSS) is an oncology diagnostic sales representative serving as an overlay specialist within the greater Eastern PA territory.
Core Responsibilities- Strong knowledge of Neo Genomics products, services, policies, competitor offerings, and payer/reimbursement landscape.
- Achieve annual sales and profit goals through efficient customer management in the assigned region.
- Collaborate with the Territory Business Manager(s) to engage Tier A, B, and C accounts.
- Work with Key Account Managers and Customer Success Services to increase account value on Tier A and B accounts.
- Facilitate access to oncology groups based on understanding of hospital or oncologist landscape, buying patterns and clinical needs.
- Support all oncology-based customers in the territory and provide consultative sales and promotion of the company’s molecular products.
- Proactively review the current and prospective customer base to target sales pursuits for new or existing products.
- Provide frequent market feedback on products, competition and market conditions to the Regional Director.
- Develop and maintain territory‑specific information regarding competitors and distributors.
- Generate ideas that contribute to the territory, region, business unit, company mission and profitability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related business field required (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of consistent success in oncology sales in diagnostics or pharmaceuticals (product and service).
- Strong closing skills; prior attendance at formal sales training courses a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
- Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the clinical and laboratory market environment and products.
- Ability to learn and retain product‑specific information and position features and benefits to customers.
- Capacity to work under deadline pressure and commit to extra hours if needed.
- Valid driver’s license for the state of residence required.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, with occasional overnight travel as required.
