Job Description SummaryField Service Technician will be assigned a truck and travel daily to customer job sites to repair and maintain equipment. This role requires experienced, responsible technicians who can diagnose and repair equipment working independently. The technician will troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and perform repair work on a wide variety of equipment.
- Repair types can include: complete machine overhauls, minor repairs such as fixing leaks, changing fluids and filters, rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic pumps.
- Diagnostics can include: check pressures, check voltage, locate source of noise or vibration.
- Field Technician will disassemble machine, order parts, make repairs, assemble machine, check machine operation to make sure repairs are complete and confirm problem is fixed and is work ready.
Technician will use Anderson’s systems to document work orders, track progress of repairs and order parts. Focus on safety protocols and regulations must be maintained at all times.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent with a two year Technical degree or comparable military training;
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance;
- Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operations, mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with other technicians or independently, while out in the field;
- Proficiency with computers and diagnostic programs provided by manufacturers.
- Ownership of adequate hand tools.
- Must have valid Driver’s License, CDL is preferred.
- Compensation depends on location, experience/skills, overtime: $34.28-$45.00 per hour.
