Position: Field Mechanic (Heavy Equipment/Mid-Size/Truck)

Job Description:

Pay: $42-$45 an hour

Summary:

Responsible for repairs and maintenance on large construction equipment.

Work with mid-size construction equipment such as generators, welders, air compressors, pumps, message boards and arrow boards as well as others to inspect, repair and maintain the equipment.

Ensure the machines continue to run safely at optimum efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Repair and maintenance on midsize equipment, including aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, generators, welders, air compressors, pumps, message boards and arrow boards.

Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment in a field environment.

Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components.

Write and complete service reports.

Participate in company training programs.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/

Experience and Qualifications:

Two-year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, or similar preferred5 years of experience preferred

Valid CDL driver’s license preferred

Basic welding skills desired

Crane knowledge a plus Desire to take on new challenges

Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
