Appliance Service Technician
As a Bodewell Appliance Care Technician, you will combine hands‑on repair skills with the ability to deliver smart, lasting solutions. Your role is equal parts technician, educator, and brand ambassador.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on GE Appliances’ major appliances.
- Use sound judgment to recommend repair vs. replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs.
- Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products, focusing on value-driven solutions.
- Operate the assigned Bodewell service van to customer locations.
- Accurately document repairs, routes, and work activities.
- Participate in training sessions, meetings, and events to maintain industry expertise.
- Manage inventory and maintenance of the service vehicle.
- Deliver high-quality service and maintain strong customer satisfaction.
- Follow all safety protocols to protect yourself and others.

Competitive hourly rates: $24 - $34+ base, depending on experience, certifications, and location.
Minimum Qualifications- High School diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of experience with appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance.
- Ability/experience diagnosing and repairing major appliances.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays.
- Valid state driver’s license and successful background check, physical, and drug screen.
- Willigness to obtain CFC Certification within 6 months.
- Wear uniform and maintain personal grooming standards consistent with GE Appliances values.
- Self-directed and solid team player.
- Ability to deescalate situations and rebuild customer confidence.
- Physical ability to step in/out of a van, sit for extended periods, handle hot/cold/wet parts, use powered hand tools, lift at least 77 lb., and push/pull 70 lb.
- 6+ months of experience with refrigeration repair.
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system.
- CFC Certified or associate’s degree in appliance repair.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service information.
