Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician to support the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of campus electrical systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working independently, and contributing to a safe learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on lighting, panels, wiring, and campus facilities
- Respond to electrical service calls and emergency repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes and safety standards
- Collaborate with maintenance and facilities teams on campus projects
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
- Valid Electrician License or Journeyman certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of electrical experience in commercial or institutional settings
- Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift equipment and work in various indoor/outdoor environments
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Standing, walking, bending, and operating equipment for extended periods
