Compensation:
Hourly base pay $26.73 - $40.10 per hour, with potential for commission and incentive program.
Travel: 100% of the time.
Work Shift:
Day (Mon‑Fri 8am‑4pm)
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light, medium, heavy‑duty engines and vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
- Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment such as electrical, brake, cooling, starters, alternators, couplings, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differential.
- Diagnose and repair various truck equipment using test instruments, tools, welding equipment, and diesel tools.
- Road‑test vehicles to confirm repairs and ensure proper operation.
- Maintain and operate company‑issued service vehicle, perform safety checks, pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, and keep inventory of parts supplied through company truck.
- Communicate effectively with clients, customers and support team, and manage concurrent assigned tasks, prioritizing work and time allocations.
- Document all work in the company system and complete DOT forms and other required documentation.
- Perform work in compliance with safety, health and environmental policies and federal regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience (or 5 years with higher education or certification).
- Hand‑tool kit to perform required duties.
- Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.
- Successful completion of DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screening and DOT physical; valid DOT medical card with ≥4 months remaining, or a scheduled physical if less.
- Valid state driver’s license and minimum age 21.
- Safe driver record and compliance with driver qualification files.
- ASE T3 (Drivetrain) – ASE T7 (HVAC).
- ASE T4 (Brakes), T5 (Suspension), T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems), 608/609 (Diesel Fuel Systems).
- Strategic decision making and problem solving.
- Physical stamina – lifting, bending, climbing, standing, walking for long periods.
- Clear communication and two‑way interaction with teams.
- Judgment in selecting tools and equipment.
- Ability to assess distances and relative positions.
- Logical reasoning for evaluating solutions.
