Responsibilities
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain Viking equipment using electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical knowledge.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure proper assembly and operation.
- Test and calibrate equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Perform modifications and repairs; document changes accurately and communicate with engineering teams.
- Train customer operators and maintenance staff on equipment operation, safety, and preventive maintenance.
- Provide phone support as needed.
- Maintain strong customer relationships by addressing issues professionally and efficiently.
- Provide detailed and accurate service reports and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- 3+ years of experience in field service of industrial equipment, or related mechanical/electrical roles.
- High mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving and troubleshooting ability, especially in electrical systems, PLCs, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- A two‑year degree in Mechatronics or Automated Machines is preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Emerson and B&R programming software
- Solid Works
This position requires a high-travel component, primarily domestic with occasional international assignments. Training begins in Blaine, MN, and the candidate will also work in Blaine as needed. Candidates should be able to obtain a U.S. passport for international travel (average travel 60–75%) and be comfortable driving for extended periods.
Pay & BenefitsThis is a full‑time, non‑exempt role that may require overtime. The hourly pay range is $33.00–$50.00, dependent on experience and skills. Salary growth is possible over time. Pay and benefits are offered as described below.
