In this position, you'll work with a variety of heavy industrial machinery, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, performing repairs, and executing preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. • Pay: $33–$42/hr base pay+ year-end bonus
• $2/hrshift differential for hours worked5pm-5am
• $85K–$107K average annual income based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5pm-5am

Position:

Techo-Bloc is on the hunt for their nextIndustrial Maintenance Mechanic. Our technicians are highly proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting our production equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You’ll be hands‑on repairing and maintaining heavy industrial equipment, including:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and augers.
• Leads troubleshooting and repairs of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pressure issues, large cylinders, sensors, proportional valves, solenoids & pumps
• Stick welding in various positions, locations throughout the factory utilizing various types of joints
• Leads emergency breakdowns to minimize unscheduled downtime of production equipment.
• Splice, track, tension, align and replace components on conveyor systems
• Replacing wear parts by disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and refurbishing or replacing components. i.e.
  
  - gearboxes, hydraulic cylinders, bearing, etc.
• Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, laser alignment tools and various other tools.
• Repair, install and dismantle heavy industrial production equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).
• Enter daily tasks, parts used and time into work order system
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, load cells, switches, contractors, motors, etc.
• Reference technical documentation, electrical schematics, equipment manuals and service instructions to complete work accurately

Qualifications:

• 3 + years’ experience working in Heavy Industrial Maintenance. Technical degrees/certificates in welding, electro‑mechanical, electric or related field preferred
• Previous experience using bearing heaters, interference fits, and/or removing gear boxes or seized bearings/shafts
• Advanced stick welding and fabrication skills repairing heavy industrial equipment
• Basic understanding of motor controls, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and VFDs (variable frequency drives) is preferred
• Basic industrial electrical experience
• Experienced with rigging, hoisting, and equipment installation
• Experienced with precision alignment and fine adjustments
• Proficiency in precision measuring utilizing high‑accuracy tools like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc. to verify tight tolerances in manufacturing
• Proficient with use of power tools and fabrication equipment. i.e. grinders, drills, welding, saws, press, bearing heaters, torch, etc.
• Experienced working with CMMS and MS Office Suite
