Community Support Professional Position Description
The Community Support Professional (CSP) provides individualized, community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, empowering them to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. Working in the individual's home and throughout the community, the CSP assists with daily living activities, community integration, transportation, skill development, and achievement of person-centered goals outlined in each individual's service plan. This role promotes dignity, choice, and inclusion while maintaining a safe, supportive environment and ensuring services are delivered in compliance with agency standards, regulatory requirements, and documentation expectations.
This position requires flexibility in scheduling and travel to various locations within Lackawanna and Luzerne counties as well as surrounding communities. Scheduling needs may include varying hours and days, including nights, weekends and holidays in order to meet the needs of the individuals we serve.
